I have been providing publicly available services since 2021, as a personal experiment on the old laptop I hosted my website on until March 2022. Since then, I had to switch to a couple servers, which resulted in various issues and lots of wasted time and data. But the straw that broke the camel's back was a filesystem failure on my current server in August, that made both my stuff, as well as other services hosted on the same machine to be nuked. So I decided that as long as I don't have a reliable enough server, it's futile to host services for other people.

Of course that doesn't mean I'll stop hosting services entirely. I'll still keep my XMPP server, as well as experimenting with other minimalist services over time, but probably won't announce them publicly. I hope I'll be able to get a good VPS in the future.
